Sarah Palin's interview

So, I'm watching Sarah Palin's interview with Charles Gibson. Damn, she is sidestepping like crazy. I guess that's normal for a politician, but from my point of view, she has been so completely prepped, and obviously instructed on what to say and what not to say. The interview has a feel that she's trying to avoid controversy, as though she knows that her candidacy and the McCain campain could suffer if she were honest. She's trying to personalize things by calling him Charlie over and over again, and he even said at one point that he needed to repeat himself because he got lost "in a storm of words". Gibson asked valid questions, and she was tapdancing like a pro. I guess she's got that going for her; she knows how to blow smoke like the most experienced politician. I do not feel any better about the possibility that this woman may become the next Vice President. I just feel scared.
